Dr. Robert W. Guerra
Dr. Guerra received his Bachelor of Science from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA. He continued his formal education and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Salus University's Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Upon attaining licenses to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey he opened his first office in Swarthmore, PA. There he practiced for twenty years and then relocated to Springfield where he remained for five years. Most recently, he purchased a small office building with ample parking in the Rose Tree section of Media and, after extensive renovation, opened a state of the art eye care facility which is the new home to his practice.
Having grown up in Delaware County, Dr. Guerra continues to reside there with his wife, Marta, in Wallingford. He is a member of the Chester-Delaware County Optometric Society along with its affiliates, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He is also a parishioner of St. Dorothy's Church where he is active in their music ministry as a cantor. Researching his family history is an ongoing avocation for him and has led to his study of the Italian language and to membership in the America-Italy Society and the Associazione Regionale Abruzzese-Delco. His love of opera and classical music is apparent and, during the course of a visit to his office, it is not uncommon to hear the soft sounds of Puccini or Mozart playing softly in the background. |
